PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the intercoupling of server computer systems and provide an intercoupling apparatus with a management function.;SOLUTION: This is an intercoupling apparatus for server computer systems (300). The intercoupling apparatus can be used together with a bladed or rack mountable server computer systems. The intercoupling apparatus comprises a substantially-rigid coupling element (310) for coupling a plurality of rack mountable server computer systems in a network topology. Wide variety of networking topologies including star and mesh topology can be carried out.
