Film-forming resin composition and polyester film using silicon-containing polyester resin dispersible or soluble in water

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-dispersible or water-soluble, silicon-contg. polyester resin excellent in slip properties, strengths, etc., by subjecting a dicarboxylic acid component, a glycol component, a water solubilizer, and a reactive silicone oil to polycondensation. SOLUTION: This polyester resin is obtd. by subjecting a dicarboxylic acid component (A) (e.g. terephthalic acid), a glycol component (B) (e.g. ethylene glycol), a water-solubilizer (C) (e.g. 5-sulfoisophthalic acid) in an amt. of 1-60mol% of the sum of components A and C, and a reactive silicone oil (D) capable of being condensed or polycondensed with components A, B, and C and in an amt. of 1-50wt.% of all the reactants to polycondensation. A pref. example of the silicone oil is one represented by formula I (wherein n is 1-50; X1 and X2 are each 1-8C alkyl, 6-14C aryl, or aralkyl; X3 and X4 are each a group represented by formula II, etc.; R1 to R4 are each H or alkyl; m is 1-10; p is 0-50; q is 0-30; and Y1 is H, OH, etc).
