PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing material which is capable of decreasing the VOC in an indoor space by cracking VOC by a photocatalyst and capturing the same by a capturing substance, a process for producing the same and a method therefor. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst coating material consisting of titanium oxide 1 and a binder 3 is applied and deposited on a base material 4. A liquid ammonium salt 2 is applied in superposition on the base material 4 deposited with the photocatalyst coating material and is deposited thereon by drying. The VOC removing material is installed by sticking the material as well paper or tile to a wall, etc., or by hanging the same in a room, by which the VOC in the room may be easily and efficiently removed without the generation of other hazardous materials.
