PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely recognize the contour or skeleton and especially an oblique wall inclined horizontally or vertically being information important for knowing layout from a construction plan. SOLUTION: The image area composed of black or white dots in the image picture data of construction plan read by an image reading part 2 is limited by an oblique wall recognizing part 13, a skew angle entirely shown by black or white dots in the image picture data of that limited image area is found, dot number measurement arrangement data are prepared by measuring the number of black or white dots in the image picture data of this limited image area toward that found skew angle and based on these prepared dot number measurement arrangement data, the oblique wall forming one part of contour or skeleton on the construction drawing is recognized.
