PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent food poisoning from occurring with salmonellas by developing a crude drug imparting antisalmonella properties to poultry in order to suppress the use of chemicals or antibiotics adversely affecting the human body and using the resultant crude drug in a feed for the poultry. SOLUTION: This antisalmonella crude drug is characterized as mainly comprising Curcumae Rhizoma which is a crude drug and either one or both of Zedoariae Rhizoma and Platycodi Radix which are the crude drugs. The antisalmonella feed for the poultry comprises the antisalmonella crude drug.
