PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide artificial cod roe having the similar shape and texture to those of the matured granules of natural cod roe.;SOLUTION: This artificial cod roe has such a constitution that remaining pickling liquid after production of natural cod roes through pickling ovaries of walleye pollacks or the like is infiltrated into man-made granules which are produced by adding pure water to a gel-forming material and forming the mixture into a man-made granular product of nearly spherical shape having a particle size of 0.1 mm-10 mm, preferably, 0.4 mm-5 mm, so that the artificial granular product is swollen with the above-mentioned remaining pickling liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
