PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the handling by directly inputting the necessary mean output, controlling the output of an oscillator with priority on the mean output to easily understand the laser beam machining condition. SOLUTION: The data on a work W to be machined such as the material, the thickness and the shape are inputted. The machining speed F is inputted. The mean output Sa, the frequency P, and the peak output S are inputted by a machining condition input part 3. An operation device operates the real mean output based on the mean output Sa. The operation device judges the waveform of the laser beam based on the frequency P and the peak output S. After operation, the real output is inputted in an oscillator power source 7, and indicated in an output monitor 9. When the input condition is not appropriate, the real output is not indicated in the monitor 9, and a warning 11 transmits an alarm to an operator. The operator changes the speed F for re- entry to stabilize the control system. An automatic circuit can be provided so that only the mean output Sa is manually inputted, and the peak output S and the frequency F are automatically set.
