PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an optimum processing against plural pieces of numerical data through the effective use of a limited regression formula. ;SOLUTION: Data for plotting a graph is inputted from a key input part 12 and is stored in a data register 14c. Data showing the regression formula which is set for plotting the graph is stored in a designation type-register 14b. CPU 11 generates the graph in accordance with the regression formula which is set and inputted data and displays it on a display part 16. CPU 11 calculates residual data showing a difference between a value which the generated graph shows and the value of inputted data, and executes the processing of graph generation based on calculated residual data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
