PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame member and a framed structure body using the frame member allowing the construction of the wooden framed structure body with sufficient physical strength as designed by suppressing dimensional change and deviation caused by the change of humidity.;SOLUTION: This frame member 1 has a frame body 2 formed of wood such as a log or square timber. The axis part of the frame body 2 is provided with a metal bar body 3 in the longitudinal direction. The frame body 2 has a pair of frame components 20, 20 formed in clad structure with the bar body 3 held in between. Both ends of the bar body 3 are slightly projected from the frame body 2, and each projecting part 31 is provided with gusset plates 4 of approximately equilateral triangular shape, one on each side. A bolt hole 41 for jointing the frame members 1, etc., to each other is provided in the required position of each gusset plate 4.
