PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the strength of a hose metal fitting against bending stress caused by vibration. ;SOLUTION: A sleeve 4 is fast stuck to a pipe 2 by fitting the sleeve 4 in a groove part 2b formed on the outer periphery of the pipe 2. An insert 5 for preventing the deformation of the pipe 2 during caulking the sleeve 4 is pressed in the inner periphery of the pipe 2. The insert 5 is longer than the sleeve 4, and pressed in from the end part 2c of the pipe 2 to a position being more inner than a position where the groove part 2b is formed. A part of the pipe 2 provided with the groove part 2b where the sleeve 4 is attached is reinforced by the insert 5. Thus, the strength of the pipe 2 against bending stress caused by external vibration can be heightened to improve the durability of the pipe 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
