PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an egg laying wooden piece for insects capable of maintaining the egg laying environment for the insects such as beetles or stag beetles in a good state and affording healthy imagoes without causing defective growth or defective eclosion thereof and a method for producing the egg laying wooden piece for the insects having excellent economical efficiency and productivity. SOLUTION: This egg laying wooden piece for the insects is obtained by including nutrients such as wheat flour, bran, sugar, or brewer's yeast in a bed log after collecting mushrooms and inoculating spawns such as Ganoderma lucidum, Lentinus edodes, Coriolus versicolor, or Trichaptum abietinum and culturing the spawns.
