PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition, which is excellent in mechanical characteristic, low temperature characteristic, grease resistance, abrasion resistance and the like when used as a molding material for flexible boots, by adding a silicone oil to a blend rubber of chlorinate polyethylene and EPDM. ;SOLUTION: This composition comprises a rubber blend consisting of 95 to 70 wt.% of chlorinate polyethylene and 5 to 30 wt.% of EPDM and having a chlorine content of 28 to 33%, to which a silicone oil is added. About 1 to 10 pts.wt., preferably about 2 to 5 pts.wt., of a silicone oil is added to 100 pts.wt. of the rubber blend. The silicone oil ordinarily employed is one which is made of an organopolysiloxane of the formula and which has a viscosity (25°C) of about 10 to 10,000 cS, preferably about 100 to 200 cS, from the standpoint of the ease in kneading. A modified silicone oil, in which the organopolysiloxane of the formula has, in the molecule an amino group, a hydroxyl group, an epoxy group, a carboxyl group, a mercapto group or the like, may be likewise used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
