Silane-modified diene rubber, vulcanized rubber composition, and method for producing silane-modified diene rubber

PURPOSE:To obtain a silane-modified diene rubber useful for white or colored rubber product containing inorganic filler by kneading and reacting respective specific diene rubber, silane containing reactive unsaturated group, peroxide and metal salt acting as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:This silane-modified diene rubber is produced by kneading (A) preferably 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber having double bond in the molecule with (B) preferably 0.1-25 pts.wt. of a silane compound containing reactive unsaturated group and expressed by formula I (R1 is a 2-20C unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 1-20C alkoxy; R3 and R4 are a 1-20C an alkyl, an aryl, a halogenated alkyl; (m) is 1-3; (n) is 0-2; n=3-m), (C) a peroxide of formula II (R5 is a 1-20C alkyl or an aryl) and (D) a metal salt as a catalyst and reacting the components with each other at a temperature not to cause the crosslinking of the diene rubber, preferably at 40-120 deg.C. The obtained rubber contains the component B as a side chain grafted to the main chain of the diene rubber. The vulcanized rubber composition is produced by kneading the rubber with an inorganic filler.
