PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arteriosclerosis evaluation apparatus for accurately evaluating the degree of arteriosclerosis on an upper limb. PSOLUTION: The evaluation apparatus comprises a left upper arm blood pressure measuring device for measuring the left upper arm blood pressure on the left upper arm 16, a right upper arm blood pressure measuring device for measuring the right upper arm blood pressure on the right upper arm 12, a left/right upper limb blood pressure ratio calculating means 78 for calculating the left/right upper limb blood pressure ratio BBI, the ratio of the left upper arm maximum blood pressure BPLSBSYS/SBto the right upper arm maximum blood pressure BPRSBSYS/SBmeasured by the left and right upper arm blood pressure measuring devices, a pulse wave propagation velocity measuring device for measuring the pulse wave propagation velocity from the heart to the right upper arm 12 (right pulse wave propagation velocity PWVSBR/SB) and the pulse wave propagation velocity from the heart to the left upper arm 16 (left pulse wave propagation velocity PWVSBL/SB), and a display 68 for displaying the left/right upper limb blood pressure ratio BBI, the right pulse wave propagation velocity PWVSBR/SB, and the left pulse wave propagation velocity PWVSBL/SB.
