PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take-out decomposition residue by utilizing the negative pressure of apparatus itself in an underwater decomposition type garbage disposal apparatus. PSOLUTION: The residue-containing sludge stored in a garbage decomposition tank 3 is extracted to a residue drying tank 4. A heater 34 is provided to the outside of the bottom part of residue drying tank 4 held in negative pressure and the residue sludge is dried by using aerating air together. The residue sludge is taken out through a flexible pipe 35 by negative pressure sucking operation to be transferred to a residue storage tank 5. After the sludge is dried, the rotary peeling member 32 in the tank 4 is rotated at a low speed and the residue sludge fixed to the bottom part of the tank is peeled to be granulated. The finely divided residue is sucked by the flexible pipe 35 suspended from the upper part of the tank to be transferred to the residue storage tank 5. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
