PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize 2-screen display two asynchronous input signals in an excellent way with a simple circuit configuration by using only the clock of one system. SOLUTION: A clock generating circuit 1 and a clock phase control circuit 2 generate a clock synchronized with a 1st video signal, A/D converters 3, 4 sample 1st and 2nd video signals, a synchronization phase detection circuit 5 detects the phase difference between the clock and a synchronizing signal of the 2nd video signal, a phase correction circuit 6 applies phase correction processing to the 2nd video signal on the basis of the phase difference to obtain the excellent 2nd video signal whose jitters or the like are corrected and writes the resultant signal in a frame memory 8. A switch signal generating circuit 7 generates a switch signal by using the synchronizing signal of the 1st video signal as a reference signal and a data changeover circuit 9 selects the 1st video signal or the 2nd video signal read from the frame memory, thereby generating a 2-screen display signal.
