PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily develop a multifunction card. SOLUTION: One function chips 11A to 11C having functions F1 to F3 are connected by a signal line group including a command line 12, a response line 13 and a data line 14. Controllers 112A to 112C respectively access common areas 114A to 114C when a function number in an instruction on the command line 12 is a specific function number, e.g. 0 being common to the chips 11A to 11C. When the function number in the instruction is any number other than 0, for instance, 1, the controller 112A accesses an inherent area 115-1, when the function number is 2, the controller 112B accesses an inherent area 115-2, and when the function number is 3, the controller 112C accesses an inherent area 115-3.
