PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight mesh sheet for construction works, comprising noncoating type polyester fibers, improved in light resistance for dyestuffs and pigments, high in weather resistance also under conditions exposed on UV light for long time, strong in waves, not causing the slippage of the weaves, high in the utilization factor of the fiber strength, and having stable air permeability. ;SOLUTION: This mesh sheet for construction works comprises a mesh sheet made up of polyester fibers containing a UV light absorbent in an amount of 0.1-7.0wt.% based on the whole weight of the fibers. The method for producing the mesh sheet for the construction works comprises immersing either one of a mesh-like sheet made up of polyester fibers or a mesh-like sheet made up of polyester fibers kneaded with 0.05-1.0wt.% a UV light absorbent at the stage of the raw fibers in the aqueous dispersion of the UV light absorbent, squeezing the immersed mesh-like sheet with nip rollers, drying the treated mesh-like sheet, and subsequently thermally treating the dried sheet at 200-230°C to give a UV light absorbent content of 0.1-7.0wt.%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
