A thick NaI(TI) scintillator detector 2 whose detection surface is arranged overlapping to almost coincide with the outward form of the detection surface of the detector 1 and having a detector surface capable of capturing -ray radiated from the article 20 and transmitting the detector 1 and coming in, and counting the total count rate of -ray from the article surface 21a and total count of -ray from the article surface 21b is provided. A count rate operation circuit 12 for obtaining the count rates of -ray from the article surface 21a and -ray from the article surface 21a is provided.
