PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool position presentation system which can present the position and direction of tools accurately without depending on the positions of the tools and workers, to provide a tool position setting method and a tool therefor.;SOLUTION: The tool position presentation system which presents the position of a drill (tool) 12 for surgery at an operation site 11 of a subject (working site of a working body) within a specified space is provided with two laser beam irradiators which individually emit laser beams with a specified expanse planarly and a controller 2 for controlling the angle of irradiation with the two planar beams. The tip part of the tool is presented utilizing laser lines 30a and 30b produced by the planar beams from the two laser light sources, namely, depending on the intersection of the planar beams on one hand and the direction of the tool at least using one of the laser lines on the other, thereby enabling the accurate and simple position setting of the tool.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
