PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hard particles capable of improving the adhesion between the hard particles and a base metal and a wear resistant ferrous sintered alloy, to provide a method for producing the wear resistant ferrous sintered alloy and to provide a valve seat. ;SOLUTION: The hard particles are composed of, by mass, 20 to 70% Mo, 0.5 to 3% C, 5 to 40% Ni, 1 to 20% Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. At least one kind among ≤40% Co, 0.1 to 10% Cr and ≤4% Si may be incorporated therein. The whole components of the sintered alloy are composed of, by mass, 4 to 30% Mo, 0.2 to 3% C, 1 to 20% Ni, 0.5 to 12% Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, the base components are composed of 0.2 to 5% C, 0.1 to 12% Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, the hard particle components are composed of 20 to 70% Mo, 0.5 to 3% C, 5 to 40% Ni, 1 to 20% Mn, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and the hard particles are dispersed into the base by 10 to 60% in an area ratio.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
