Control methods and real-time Internet gateway device of the Internet facsimile communication system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a communication charge and to enable image information communication, complying with a user's intention by a second gateway device accumulating image information to be transmitted, recalling second facsimile equipment and transmitting it when a communication error occurs between the second gateway device and the second facsimile equipment. SOLUTION: This system is composed of realtime Internet gate way devices GW1 and GW2 for performing a specified realtime transmission procedure via G3FAX FG1, FG2 and an internet INT connected to public telephone network PSTN. Then, facsimile communication between the FG1 and the FG2 is performed through the GW1, the INT and the GW2. Here, when a communication error occurs between the GW2 and the FG2, the specified facsimile transmission procedure is executed between the GW2 and the FG1, image information to be transmitted to the FG2 is accumulated, and the image information accumulated by recalling the FG2 is transmitted.
