Fishing poles, counter-balancing apparatus for fishing poles and handles, and methods for balancing fishing poles

A counter-balancing apparatus for a fishing pole handle is provided. The apparatus includes one or more weight members configured to be received by a handle assembly of the fishing pole. The handle assembly includes at least one handle portion, wherein the handle portion is configured to removably receive the one or more weight members to cause a transfer of a center-of-mass of the fishing pole between different positions. The one or more weight members and the handle portion may have equal radii so that, upon assembly, the one or more weight members appear to be integrally formed with the handle portion. Other configurations are possible. A method is also provided.
