The interconnection system comprises two housings acting as interleaves, each including a set of protection elements providing protection for the thickness of said first or second spacer; at least one cable having a central conductor, a conductive outer casing and a dielectric separating said central conductor and said conductive outer casing, said outer casing being in electrical contact with at least a number of said plurality of protection elements in said casings; a cable box connected to the spacers for retaining said cables; said cables having exposed portions extending beyond said cable housing into the spacers; at least one conductive element in contact with a central conductor of said cables.
