The utility process patent aims to turn old tires into carbon black as a filler for use in the rubber industry, making it a cheaper raw material, alleviating this serious national problem. In Brazil it has a mountain of over 100 million old tires scattered on landfills, vacant lots, rivers and lakes, according to estimates by the National Tire Industry Association (ANIP). And every year tens of millions of new tires are manufactured. In the country, in 2001 there were 45 million, about 15 million exported and 30 million destined for the domestic market. To stop the advance of this waste, which to decompose takes 300 to 400 years, it is necessary to recycle with this process, turning it into raw material for the rubber industry, we will open more work fronts without harming the environment.
