"AIRCRAFT EQUIPPED FOR AIR VECTOR MAGNETIC EXPLOITATION PROSPECTS, DATA PROCESSING METHOD COLLECTED DURING A VARIATION OF AIRCRAFT PROSPECTION, AND TECHNIQUE FOR PROCESSING VECTOR MAGNETIC DATA". The invention relates to an aircraft equipped for aerial vector magnetic exploration prospecting comprising three orthogonally mounted magnetometers for measuring the components of the earth's vector magnetic field; two rotation sensors mounted to measure the angular orientation of the aircraft; and a recording system for recording magnetometer and rotation sensor measurements. Measured angular orientation is used to orient the measured components of the earth's vector magnetic field to obtain true vector magnetic data (VAM) from aerial surveys. Also described is a method for processing magnetic data by removing the permanent, induced, and eddy current effects of the aircraft from the magnetic data.
