"Compositions suitable for use as a dispersant for pigment, pigment dispersion, coating composition and process for the production of dispersant for pigments.The polymer dispersant for pigments based on a graft copolymer which contains a new type of functional group as a group of urea binding pigments.The urea groups are connected to the graft copolymer by convenient method which involves the reaction of hydroxyl functional groups built in the copolymer graft with a diisocyanate is taMpado at one end with ammonia or primary or secondary amine. The reaction is convenient and clean.Reticle or gelling of the polymer can be easily avoided substantial through the careful selection of ingredients and processing conditions are appropriate.These materials are effective in disprersu00e3o and stabilization of a wide variety of pigments in systems based on solvents and are particularly useful in the formation of pigment dispersions which areUsed in a series of coating compositions based on solvents for cars and trucks, providing enhanced efficiency of use of the pigment.Minor paint viscosity and reduced emission of volatile organic solvent.
