The present invention relates to the pharmaceutical treatment for pain management, which composition comprises in combination a benzothiadiazole derivative as defined and a COX-2 inhibitor for simultaneous, sequential or separate use. Also provided is a method of treating a patient suffering from pain, which method comprises administering to the patient an effective amount of a benzothiadiazole derivative as defined and an effective amount of a COX-2 inhibitor.
