The method for cleaning and/or disinfecting the internal surfaces of an industrial flow, spiral or other type of freezer that need cleaning and/or disinfecting on a daily, periodic or continuous basis comprises delivering an aqueous solution of a strongly foaming cleaning agent and/or disinfectant to the freezer surfaces by a manual or automatic process, and then using the flow of air from the freezer ventilation system to remove some of this foam and redistribute it inside the freezer to cover any remaining internal surfaces.
