The present invention relates to novel double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts for the preparation of polyether polyols formed by the polyaddition of alkylene oxides to active hydrogen-containing starting compounds. The DMC catalysts of the present invention comprise a) at least one double metal cyanide compound, b) at least one organic complex ligand other than a crown compound, and c) at least one crown compound.
