Potassium monofluorophosphate is found to be superior to sodium monoflurophosphate as a corrosion inhibitor for steel reinforcement members in reinforced concrete; conveniently the potassium monoflurophosphate in aqueous solution is contacted with a surface of the reinforced concrete to facilitate penetration of the potassium monofluorophosphate into the concrete.
