The invention relates to the field of chemistry, namely to the synthesis of an intermediate compound for obtaining biologically active drimanes and triterpenoids.The process consists in that the alcoholic solution of 11-bishomodrimane-8α-ol-12-one is treated with 30% hydrogen peroxide, in the presence of the acetic acid, as catalyst, at the room temperature, with subsequent isolation of the obtained product.
