A partition (11) connected to the casing (1) for the device is located between the blind roll (7) and a ventilation passage (2) extending between the inside and outside of the casing. The partition is in contact with the blind (8) on the roll. The casing is designed to be installed in a building roof and houses a roll for a blind which can be unwound in order to cover the roof opening in which the device is installed. A ventilation device (4, 5) is housed inside the casing.
