The installation (1) is for the manufacture of pots and comprises an input conveyor belt (2) and a discharge conveyor belt (4) positioned in the manufacturing direction of the pots behind the input belt. A displacement device (6) moves the pots (3,5) from the input belt to the discharge belt. This device has an input side (9) near to the input conveyor belt and an output side (10) near to the discharge conveyor belt. The displacement device between its two sides has a connecting component (8,11) running continuously and inclined to the longitudinal direction of the input conveyor belt. This component during operation engages the pots on the input conveyor belt. The discharge belt runs crossways to the input belt. The displacement device during operation moves in its entirety along at least a part of the discharge belt.
