The greenhouse (1) or departmental store has a number of parallel extending joists and crossways projecting roof sections, each provided with a ridge (4) with glass plates (2) located on opposite sides with frames between them. The frames (7a,7b) are formed as air frames which near to the ridge are kidney-shaped and are displaceable by expansion bars between a closed and open position. In the greenhouse cover, a central field (M) and one or more gable fields (G) extending the edges of the greenhouse are distinctly incorporated. The extent of the bars of the central field and the extent of the frames in the central field and gable field are virtually the same length.
