The transport installation comprises a conveyor belt assembly with deformable components (1) and rigid components (2) alternating in the transport direction and provided with a tension device reducing the normal force of the belt in a horizontal direction. The arrangement is such that, compared with the situation in which no tension device is present, less vibration occurs in curves. This means that the belt can convey greater loads and uses less energy. The deformable components have at least one through hole (5) and the rigid components likewise have at least one through hole (4). The two types of through holes are aligned.
