Harvester for crops grown between nets, e.g. bulbs, has crops added to collection container via transport arrangement movable in its length direction

The discharge device (9) for supplying the crops (8) to a collection container (10) comprises a transport arrangement (11) located at the end of this device. A control system (13) is used to move the transport arrangement in its length direction in order to regulate the discharge of crops into the container. The transport arrangement comprises a first conveyor belt (17) which can be moved in the crop transport direction on this belt and a second conveyor belt (14) which can be moved relative to the point (15) where the first harvested crop comes into initial contact with the second belt. The harvester comprises a mobile carriage (3) with a frame (4) connected to a harvesting device (5) for pulling the nets (1, 2) and the crops between them out of the ground, a separator (7) for separating the two nets and a device (12) for removing the crops from the nets. An independent claim is also included for a method for harvesting crops grown between two nets, comprising the following steps: (a) removing the nets and the crops in between from the ground; (b) separating the nets from the crops; and (c) transporting individually sorted crops to a collection container without allowing them to drop into this location by moving the crop discharge point backwards and forwards above the support surface for the crops inside the container so that the distance between this point and support surface remains constant.
