The adjustable support system is for transport and storage of large round pipes with differing diameters between 406.4 and 2032.0 mm. It comprises four basic components usable repeatedly and replaceable. With the system, pipes can be fixed above each other and next to one another. The system comprises plastic blocks (4) mounted on steel rods (2) with the aid of securing pins (5). The steel rods are available in two forms; base locators and intermediary locators. Various possibilities are defined for fixture of the base locators to a freight train wagon or a lorry.
