Disclosed is the use in the manufacture of a medicament for soft tissue augmentation in a mammalian species, of a matrix of rounded, substantially spherical, biocompatible, substantially non-resorbable, finely divided ceramic particles close to or in contact with each other, the particles being greater than 15 microns in diameter and up to 150 microns in diameter.
