A composition comprises a compound of formula I wherein R1 is ethyl; R2 is OH; R3 is saccharide residue, where the residue is optionally substituted one or more times by a saccharide protective group, or a diamino acid residue, where the residue is optionally substituted one or more times by an amino acid protective group; R4 is methyl; R5 is methyl; Z is -(C=O)-C0-C4-alkyl or a covalent bond, and either a cholesterol absorption inhibitor such as ezetimibe, tiqueside or pamaqueside or carob pulp. The composition is useful for treating lipid metabolism disorders or metabolic syndrome, hyperlipideamia and arteriosclerotic manifestations.
