A set for measuring self-phase modulation SPM of an optic fibre, equipped with a power meter, an optical spectrum analyser, a laser, a damper and an optical amplifier. It is characterised in that the examined optic fibre (1) is connected at the input side to the first adjustable optical damper (4), which proceeds the power control coupler (2), connected to a power meter (3) and the optical polarisation controller (OKP). The first adjustable optical damper (4) is connected to the optical amplifier EDFA (5), the second adjustable optical damper (6), the optical isolator (7), the modulated laser (8), the phase shifter (9) and the modulating generator (10). The examined optic fibre (1) is connected at the output side to the optical spectrum analyser (11).
