The invention relates to a rolling unit for changeable gauge waggon bogies for railway transport, especially for international trains that circulate on railway lines with different gauges. According to the invention, the rolling unit is composed of a bogie that circulates on a road section (A) having axially glidable wheels (B) with axle boxes (C) that have an interior (C) with a diameter (d) with a minimal gauge (e1), by replacing the present bearings with some circular segments (1) that form an opening (f) wherein there glides a body (2) wherein there enters the neck (D) of an axle whereon there are provided some jaw clutches (E) at a distance (g). The jaw clutch (E) is composed of a fixed coil (9) and a rotor (17), the first being axially glidable on some sockets (16) provided with some jaws which, by rotating and making contact on the frontal surfaces, set the rolling wheel gauge size. The wheels (B) are axially glidable, and by rolling on the intermediary road section (A) from (e1) to (e2), the wheels are spaced according to the gauge whereon they are to circulate, this operation being followed by rotating the jaw clutch (E) and automatically indexing it in the position corresponding to the wheel gauge.
