TECHNIQUE FOR SURGICAL ACCESS TO TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT

摘要

The technique for the surgical access to the temporomandibular joint consists in two vertical osteotomies of the zygomatic arch in anterior and posterior parts. The fragment of the zygomatic arch is descended with the fibers of the masticatory muscle and after the completion of the major stage of the surgery the fragment is returned to its original location and fixed correctly.
