The present invention relates to the field of human medicine and dermatology, more particularly, to a composition obtained from human placenta that exhibits activity regulating skin regeneration and therefore useful in the treatment of psoriasis. The formulation obtained regulates the speed of regeneration of the epidermis as shown in pharmacological assays of the formulation and has no severe side effects as shown by the toxicological, genotoxic and clinical tests carried out. The product obtained has the form of a water-soluble gel and acts on the epidermis by transcutaneous absorption in the area of application.
