The appliance for development of thin steep coal beds at rises has infinite-closed bumper round-link chains with scrapers, those are equipped with cutters, multi-link barrier with flat critical area zone side and spherical multi-link one û at the goaf side, and drive. The critical area side of the barrier is made continuous, and the goaf side û flat, with an elastic band fixed to it at the upper side. The barriers are connected at the level of the base of the bed by bottom, and together those are U-like in shape.
