METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE COMPLETENESS OF THE DIGESTION OF NUTRIENT MIX IN AN EXPERIMENT WITH A LABORATORY ANIMAL

The proposed method for determining the completeness of the digestion of nutrient mix in an experiment with a laboratory animal consists in applying several anastomosises side to side, with the formation of fistulas through which the access to the intestine of the animal will be accomplished after the wound is healed, and determining the difference of the components of the nutrient mix at the inlet and the outlet of the intestine per a unit time interval, with observations through each 5 minutes, for an hour, two times a week, for several months. The data so obtained are used for determining the completeness of the digestion of the nutrient mix.
