Separation and quantitative or qualitative analysis system comprises sample components (4) that are mixed with a mobile particulate solid phase (3) before being desorbed and separated from the latter at the interface between the transport system (5) and a mass-sensitive detector (1). An integrated separation and analysis system for at least one sample component includes a mass-sensitive detector with an angled ionization source, the norm for the transport system outlet extending at an angle from the inlet to the analyzer on the detector. At least one mobile particulate solid phase with a binding capacity for the sample component is provided. A transport system is provided for the solid phase and sample components, along with at least one carrier fluid (6). Sample components are separated from the solid phase at the interface between the transport system and detector before they enter the latter. An independent claim is also included for a separation and analysis method using this system, in which a mixture of the sample component and solid phase are transported using a carrier fluid, the sample component is desorbed and separated from the solid phase before entering the mass-sensitive detector and the separated sample component is analyzed using the detector.
