Method for detecting nucleic acid (NA) using a detector probe (P), complementary to NA, in which the labeling comprises two components, able to bind to each other, with one conjugated to (P) and the other having a detectable marker (M), where the new feature is that NA is hybridized to (P) in the presence of both components, and subsequently detected.
