The building block containing insulating tire material has a mixture of cement, fine aggregate and 5-30 per cent of e.g. comminuted old tires to increase the sound insulation capacity of the block. It also features horizontal and vertical channels (3,3') on its main faces forming services paths in the structure made up of the blocks. The services are finally encapsulated in the mortar applied to the channels (3,3') and forming the facing surface of the blocks.
