The use of plastics waste as carbon nutrient for microorganisms in biotechnology involves pyrolysis to produce inexpensive carbon from greenhouse polyethylene film. The degraded film, in saturated and unsaturated linear liquid hydrocarbon, is converted into primary and secondary microbian metabolites.
